LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY, [LASU] DICT DEPLOYS AND DEMONSTRATES AN ONLINE PORTAL FOR STAFF BIOLOGICAL CHILDREN ADMISSION REGISTRATION

In a very productive collaboration, the Directorate of Information, Communication Technology (DICT) and the Admissions Office of the Lagos State University have on Friday, 5th November, 2021, deployed and demonstrated an online registration portal for staff biological children admissions’ registration to enhance seamless online data submission for children of members of staff.

The application was unveiled at an in-house training organized by the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) and the Admissions Office for concerned users of the portal.

The training was held in the University Senate Chamber, first floor of the Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.

The Acting Director, DICT, Dr. Toyin Enikuomehin, who doubled as the Lead Trainer, revealed that the innovation is an online realtime management which will eliminate the effort that members of staff put in submission of data of their biological children for Admission exercise and, also the hitches/challenges experience while trying to keep track of submitted forms alongside numerous other advantages that come with the new concept. It will also position both the Establishment Division and the Admissions Office to improve the time line in handling all requests as regards staff biological children registration.

Dr. Enikuomehin appreciated the Deputy Vice Chancellor, (Administration), Prof. Adenike Boyo for her foresight and resourcefulness in collaborating with the DICT to develop the innovation.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Adenike Boyo who is the Coordinator, Admissions, thanked the teams from the Directorate of Information, Communication Technology (DICT), Admissions and other schedule officers in attendance for been part of the new process.
