EXTENSION OF THE 2024/2025 PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE (UTME&DE)
With reference to our earlier circular on the 2024/2025 Post-UTME screening exercise, all candidates seeking admission into the University of Maiduguri are hereby informed that the screening exercise has been extended to Saturday, October 12, 2024.
Accordingly, all candidates who have not yet completed their Post-UTME screening are advised to take advantage of this extension, as there will be no further extension beyond the stated date.
For emphasis, candidates are to pay a non-refundable fee of TWO THOUSAND NAIRA (Two Thousand Naira) ONLY THROUGH REMITA PLATFORM.
ELIGIBILITY
L Only UTME and DE candidates who selected University of Maiduguri as first choice during 2024 JAMB are eligible for the screening exercise.
ii. UTME candidates must have minimum score of 140 except those courses for which higher cut-off marks have been indicated on the University Website.
Iv.Candidate must meet the minimum UTME scores for their chosen courses and have the right UTME subject combinations as prescribed in the 2024 Jamb brochure. Candidates who do not meet any of the above requirements will be allowed to change to another course whose requirements they meet.
V. All candidates must possess a minimum of 5 O’Level credits in subjects relevant to their proposed courses, including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings. In addition, Direct Entry candidates must possess a minimum of lower credits at National and/or Higher National Diploma level(s) or Merit at NCE level.
vi. Only O’level result print-out(s) downloaded directly from the website of the National Examining bodies (WASC/NECO/NABTEB) or photocopies of original certificate(s) will be accepted at verification.
CANDIDATES ARE TO ENSURE THAT THEIR O’LEVEL RESULTS ARE UPLOADED ON THE JAMB CAPS PROFILE WEBSITE.
