STRIKE: FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, ILARO POSTPONE FIRST SEMESTER EXAMINATION

Sequel to the warning strike declared by Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics to press home their demands from the Federal Government, the local wing of the Trade Union has notified Management of its decision to fully participate in the strike action.The implication of this is that the 1st Semester Examinations for 2021/2022 which are supposed to commence on Monday, May 16, 2022 is put in abeyance for now.

Accordingly, the Acting Rector, Engr. (Mrs.) I. K. Ogunfayo has directed that students be so notified of the postponement of the examinations. Please note that all students and the Polytechnic Community will be informed of further directive on the matter in due course.

In line with our tradition, students are enjoined to use the period for worthwhile activities that will affect their academic pursuit in a positive way and maintain high level of decorum.

Students who are resident in the Hostels are also enjoined to maintain peace and tranquility during the period.
