OSUN STATE POLYTECHNIC, IREE APPOINTS NEW RECTOR

Osun State Polytechnic, Iree now has its Sixth substantive Rector following the appointment of Dr Tajudeen Adewale Odetayo

This was contained in a release signed by Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Registrar, B.M Salawu

It comes on the heels of the approval by the Osun State government.

The release in parts “This is to inform the Polytechnic community that The Visitor to the Institution and the Executive Governor Of the State, His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has approved the appointment of Dr. Tajudeen Adewale Odetayo as the Sixth Substantive Rector of the Institution.

The appointment which takes effect from March, 2023 is for the period of Four Years

“The approval is signed by the Head of Service Mr. Ayanleye Aina”

It could be recalled that Governor Ademola Adeleke, in his inaugural speech had vowed to review all appointments that were recently made by the immediate past administration of former Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola.

In his inaugural sneech. Governor Adeleke gave an Executive Order mandating “an immediate establishment of a panel to review all appointments and major decisions of the immediate past administration taken after the 17th July, 2022.

This led to the earlier reversal of Odetayo back to Acting Rector of the Institution.
