NURSING & MIDWIFERY COUNCIL OF NIGERIA RELEASES MIDWIFERY PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION RESULTS FOR SEPTEMBER 2024

RELEASE OF RESULTS OF THE PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION IN MIDWIFERY SEPTEMBER 2024.

 

I am pleased to inform you that the Coordinating Honourable Minister of Health and Social Welfare has approved the release of results of the Professional Examination in Midwifery September 2024.

2. Summary of the results indicated that four thousand, seven hundred and Fifty-three (4,753) candidates were successful representing 88% with the breakdown as follows:

a) Post Basic Midwifery: Two thousand, one hundred and thirty-seven (2,137) candidates were successful, representing 92% pass

b) i. Basic Midwifery: One thousand, eight hundred and thirty-five (1,835) candidates were successful, representing 72% pass..

ii. Basic Midwifery (Refresher): Sixteen (16) candidates were successful, representing 100% pass

c) Community Midwifery: Seven hundred and sixty-five (765) candidates were successful, representing 89% pass.

3. Heads of the training institutions are hereby directed to check the result of their institution(s) on-line as from Monday 16th September, 2024.

4. Successful candidates are hereby directed to visit the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Portal (portal.nmen.gov.ng) to apply on-line for registration and licensing with effect from 16th September, 2024

5. Please note that on-line registration formalities including payment of registration fee should be completed within ninety (90) days. Furthermore, any application for registration initiated and not completed within thirty (30) days will be automatically deleted by the portal

6. Late registration attracts a penalty fee of Sixteen thousand, two hundred and fifty Naira (16,250.00) only, per applicant after ninety (90) days. Additionally, a penalty fee of six thousand, five hundred and sixty-two Naira (N6,562.00) only will be charged per year in default of first licensing.

7. The next Professional Examination in Midwifery is to he held from Tuesday 11 Friday 14th March, 2025.

8. Heads of nursing training institutions are hereby requested to send statistics of eligible candidates for March, 2025 Professional Examination in Midwifery to [email protected] on or before 31st December, 2024 using Examination Application Checklist (EAC). Kindly note that Examination Application Checklist received after this date will be rejected outrightly.

9. Please acknowledge receipt of the result and contact the Registrar/CEO immediately for rectification of any error. Council will not entertain any complaint after thirty (30) days of release of result.

10. All correspondences should be addressed to the Registrar/CEO, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Headquarters Office, Plot 713, Cadastral Zone, Life Camp, Abuja.
