NLC, TUC STRIKE: WAEC APPEALS UNION TO CONSIDER CANDIDATES WRITING ONGOING EXAMINATION

WAEC is urging organized labor to reconsider their planned indefinite strike, citing the ongoing West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Dr. Amos Dangut, the Head of National Office of WAEC, expressed concern, noting that many WAEC employees are members of the striking unions. The exams, which started on April 30 and are scheduled to end by June 24, include subjects like physics, economics, government, and civic education.
Any disruption could severely disadvantage the students. WAEC emphasizes the importance of cooperation to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams and reaffirms its commitment to serving the Nigerian people.
