NOTICE OF SECURITY AND SAFETY FOR ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS DURING THE NATIONWIDE PROTEST.
As you may be aware, there are plans by unknown groups to embark on Nationwide Protests. Though the Federal Government recognizes the right to peaceful protest, we want to assure all and sundry that the safety and security of our Staff, Students, and property are of utmost importance to the Management of The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.
To buttress Management’s commitments, meetings have been organized between the Polytechnic Stakeholders and the following categories of people:
1. All the Security Agencies in Ilaro;
2. Community and Youth Leaders;
3. Students Union Leaders; and
4. General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Nigerian Army, Owode.
In light of this, I want to assure you that the Management of The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro is doing everything within her capacity to ensure the safety of lives and properties of the Institution, Staff and Students. This is done in collaboration with Security Agencies, Landlords, and Traditional Leaders in Ilaro and its environs to secure our environment for the smooth academic pursuits of Staff and Students.
In the same direction, the Youth leaders in Ilaro Communities have equally chorused “no protest” in a similar release signed by their Leaders.
**NOTE: PLEASE, ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO SHUN NIGHT MOVEMENT AND ALL SORTS OF NOCTURNAL ACTIVITIES.
All students are urged to remain on campus and focus on their studies, avoiding any potential dangers during the planned protests. Your safety is our top priority, and we will do everything possible to ensure your well-being.
Please be assured that Management is vigilant and committed to maintaining a peaceful and secured environment for everyone.
