NUC grants LAUTECH full accreditation in five academic programmes
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to five academic programmes at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The NUC, in a letter signed by its Director of Accreditation, Dr. Maryam Sali for the Executive Secretary, conveyed the new status of the programmes.
It listed the accredited courses to include Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Fine and Applied Arts, as well as Pure and Applied Physics and Statistics.
IN another development, the Association of Tutorial Schools Operators of Nigeria (ATSO) has charged the management of West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examination Council (NECO) to tackle examination malpractices in the country.
The newly-elected President of ATSO, Oludotun Shodunke, who gave the charge during the yearly convention of the association in Ibadan, Oyo State, said that members of ATSO were marshals against examination malpractices in the country. Shodunke, however, advised government at all levels to redeem the education system for nation-building
