“Leadership is a process that involves: setting a purpose and direction which inspires people to combine and work towards willingly; paying attention to the means, pace and quality of progress towards the aim; and upholding group unity and individual effectiveness throughout.” – James Scoulle

My name is Ololajulo Olubunmi, a native of Ilaje local Government area of Ondo state, a Student of Delta State University, Abraka and an aspirant seeking to assume the position of the servant leader of the National Association of Ondo State Students(National Body).

However, my aspiration is not for the sake of winning the election alone but I’m here to offer sincere service in order to transform the association through my set goals and objectives where Transformational Leadership will be the watchword of my administration.

WHY I NEED YOUR SUPPORT?

I have at all point exhibited loyalty and diligence to duty in all leadership positions held so far and that has further poised my decision to offer myself for service.

During my time of service as Pioneer General Secretary, National Association of Ondo State Students (Delta State University Chapter), I was able to lead the team of Excos to create an awareness about the existence of the association on Campus which led to us attracting more members within a very short period and In appreciation of my modest contributions to the growth and development of the Association, I was awarded with a Certificate of Leadership by the current executives of the Association.

I’ve also served as the Secretary-General of my Departmental Association, Students’ Physiological Association of Nigeria(Delta State University Chapter) and was given an award of honour as the POLITICAL ICON of the Year by the Leadership of my Departmental Association In appreciation of my relentless efforts in giving the Association a new face by discharging my Secretarial duties effectively and also always engaging the leadership of my department whenever the need arises.

I was elected the President, Oduduwa Students’ Association, Delta State University; An Umbrella Body for all Yoruba Students in Delta State University and discharged my duties effectively, achieved my set goals and as a Transformational Leader, gave the Association a new face.

In continuation of my set goals for the Students’ populace and in line with my vision to transform the National Association of Ondo State Students, I contested as the National Senate President in the NAOSS 2019 National Convention but became the first runner-up in that election.

I’ve also served in different capacities, as Electoral Chairman, National Association of Ilaje Students(DELSU CHAPTER) where I ensured a free, fair and credible election was conducted; and I’ve also served as Member, Electoral Committee, Basic Medical Science Students Association(DELSU CHAPTER) to mention but a few.
