A student of the faculty of law, Lagos State University Ojo, Yusuf, Aminat Imoitesemeh, has graduated with a perfect CGPA of 5.00 at the ongoing convocation ceremonies.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello made this known on Wednesday statement at the Press Conference.
Apart from the 121 individuals who will be awarded doctorate degrees, we shall be conferring Honorary Doctorate Degrees and an Appreciation Award on eight eminent Nigerians who have made valuable contributions to the development of our university and the nation at large. They are as follows:
1. His Excellency Babatunde Raji FASHOLA CON SAN Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (Urban and Rural Community Development and Youth Empowerment)
2. Dr. (MRS.) Claudiana Ibijoke SANWO-OLU Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (Child Healthcare, Environmental Development, and Women Empowerment)
3. HRM. Oba Alayeluwa Saheed Ademola ELEGUSHI, Kusenla III Honorary Doctor of Arts (Broadcasting, Community Integration, and Human Rights Advocate)
4. Dr. Daniel Kolawole OLUKOYA Honorary Doctor of Science (Genetics and Biotechnology)
5. Dr. John Olukayode FAYEMI CON Honorary Doctor of Letters (Human Rights, National Integration and African Security Development)
6. Hon. Olufemi Hakeem GBAJABIAMILA, CFR Honorary Doctor of Law (Education, Community, and National Development)
7. HRM. Oba (Dr.) Suleiman Adeshina Raji ASHADE 1 Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (Grassroots Development)
8. Princess Victoria Adejoke ORELOPE-ADEFULIRE who will be given an Appreciation Award
Furthermore, the Senate of the University has also conferred the title of Distinguished Professor on two respected and accomplished academics in the University, as follows:
Professor Dapo Folorunsho ASAJU of the department of Religious and Peace Studies and
Professor Babajide Olufemi ELEMO of the department of Biochemistry.
