The University Management wishes to inform the University Community, parents, and the general public that Lagos State University (LASU) has fully resumed operations for the year 2025 as of Monday, 6th January, following the Christmas and New Year break.
Management also announces that, with the resumption of activities, all staff unions have resumed their duties, except for the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), LASU Chapter. NASU, after a meeting of the management with the Joint Action Committee of University Staff Unions (ASUU, SSANU, NASU, and NAAT) on Monday, has declared a strike action. This action will persist until the ongoing issue of non-payment of the 50% counterpart fund for the differentials of the 25%/35% salary increment is addressed by Friday, 10th January 2025.
In light of this, all students are expected to return to campus and continue their lectures as outlined in the academic calendar.
The university management appreciates the understanding of all staff and students and wishes everyone a smooth and successful resumption.
