LASU AUTHORITY WARNS STUDENTS AGAINST LATE NIGHT MOVEMENT IN AND AROUND THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES
In a bid to secure lives and property of the teeming students of Lagos State University (LASU) from the dangers of late night movement in and around the University campuses, the Security Committee hereby strongly advises the students on the need to be security conscious on the campuses and their areas of residence.
The committee noted that some students, who live outside the institution (Ojo, Ikeja and Epe) campuses are in the habit of leaving the campuses for their hostels, very late in the night. The committee, hereby, cautions that such late night movement be stopped henceforth .
As the first semester examination approaches, students that will read all through the night on the campuses, are strongly advised to always wait till early in the morning, when visibility is clear, before leaving for their hostels or respective abodes.
On the campuses, security measures have been put in place by the Security Unit, through the dedicated Campus Marshals in ensuring the safety of both staff and students round the clock.
This advise becomes imperative simply because of the security challenges nationwide and the students are advised to report any strange movement on the campuses or strangers to the security officers of the University.
