The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the conferment of the National Honours in the rank of OON (Officer of the Order of the Niger) on a Professor of Pathology and Forensic Medicine in the Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Professor Francis Adedayo Faduyile, and the award has elicited congratulatory message from the Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni.
Prof. Faduyile, a former President of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) who was recently appointed Special Adviser by the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu is celebrated by the Vice Chancellor on the well-deserved recognition coming from no other than the President and commander in Chief of the Armed Forces himself.
Prof. Olatunji-Bello asserts that the national award is an icing on the cake to an illustrious life of public service, steeped in the culture of excellence and service that the Lagos State University, and in particular, LASUCOM is known for.
She thanks Mr. President for finding Prof. Faduyile worthy of the honour and prays that it will be open more doors of national and international recognitions for him.
The Investiture Ceremony of Prof. Faduyile, alongside other awardees will hold on Tuesday, 11th October, 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
