Applications are hereby invited from suitable and qualified female candidates for admission into Post Basic Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nursing programme of the Gombe State College of Nursing Sciences popularly known as College of Nursing and Midwifery for the 2024/2025 academic session. This is a two (2) years, four (4) semesters programme and successful admitted candidates will commence academic activities or lectures in the month of May, 2024 leading to the award of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) in the month of November, 2026.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant must be a Registered Female Nurse (RN) or Midwife (RM) with current practicing Licence and possess WAEC, SSCE/GCE, NECO or NABTEB with at least five (5) Credits (at not more than two (2) sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The candidate(s) presenting NABTEB result will not be allowed to combine it with any other results.
This is because if candidate will use NABTEB he/she must have all the required five(5)credits in it.
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
All interested applicants should log into the College portal that is http://www.colnursingscigombe.ng to make payment of a non-refundable fee of TWENTY THOUSAND NAIRA (N20,000:00) excluding e-service charges (charges for service providers, Remita and ICT/business centre charges etc.) through Remita platform and obtain the form at the College ICT Unit or business centre.
Applicants must attach the following documents to their completed forms:-
1. Two (2) certified recent passport-size photographs.
ii. Photocopies of all credentials including primary and secondary school certificates/browsed copy of result(s).
iii. Photocopy of receipt of purchase of form.
iv.Local Government indigene certificate and declaration of age or birth certificate Notification of Registration as Registered Nurse (RN) or Midwife (RM) with current practicing licence.
COMMENCEMENT AND CLOSING DATES FOR THE SALES OF APPLICATION FORMS:
The sales of admission forms for the 2024/2025 academic session starts on Monday 29th April and ends on Wednesday 8th May, 2024. The closing date for the submission of completed application forms is Friday 10th May, 2024. Candidates should note that there will be no extension of date of sales of application forms
