The Federal University, Oye Ekiti is collaborating with Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti on the upgrade of the facilities of the hospital’s School of Nursing at Ido Ekiti.
FETHI’s Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi, who made the disclosure, said, “The process of upgrading the school is already in advance stage via collaboration with FUOYE.”
The head of corporate affairs of the FETHI, Francis Bank-Akinnuoye, said this in a statement on Monday.
The CMD was represented by the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee of the hospital, Dr Idowu Adebara, at the matriculation ceremony for 50 new students, according to the statement.
Ajayi urged the students’ parents to be supportive, saying the profession was demanding.
The principal of the school, Mrs Oluwabunmi Adeniji, who lauded FETHI for the support given to the school, which she said had greatly moved the institution forward, admonished the new students to attend classes regularly, shun all forms of vices and focus on their studies.
