FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY IKOT ABASI (FUTIA) SECURES NUC APPROVAL FOR TWELVE ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES

 

UPDATE ON ADDITIONAL COURSES FOR POST-UTME ADMISSIONS SCREENING EXERCISE FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform all qualified 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) seeking

admissions into Higher Institutions of the new courses offered at the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) for the 2024/2025 Academic Session. Interested candidates are hereby invited to apply for admission into the following programmes and follow the procedure for admission.

1. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

Chemical Engineering

Petroleum Engineering

2. SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY

Accounting

Business Management

Tourism and Hospitality Management

Transportation Management Technology

3. SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Architecture

Building Technology

Naval Architecture

Quantity Surveying

4. SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE

Agriculture

Food Science and Technology

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:

1. ONLY candidates that scored a minimum of 160 in their UTME are eligible to apply.

2. Candidates are to visit the JAMB CAPS and change their First (1) choice University to FUTIA and change to their preferred course.

3. Candidates MUST have passed a minimum of 5 relevant subjects at credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or equivalent in not more than two (2) sittings including English and Mathematics.

REGISTRATION:

Online registration for the Screening Exercise is ongoing.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

1. Visit http://portal.futia.edu.ng and click on “Click here to apply”

2. Click Undergraduate link at the top menu bar

3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Click on “Continue”

4. Complete the basic information page (Please note: Enter only valid phone number and email address) and click next.

5. On the payment review page, click on “Make Payment” and this will take you to the payment page where you can provide your card detail.

6. Enter ATM card (MasterCard, Visa or Verve) number and other details as appropriate and submit

7. Enter “OTP code” sent to your phone and click continue to complete your payment.8. After a successful payment, click on “Main login” on the portal, enter your Jamb registration number and Surname as password

9. Click on “Login” button and complete your registration.

10. Ensure you print completed registration form and payment receipt.

Note:

There would be a grace period of four (4) weeks within which all approved admissions must be accepted by candidates.

Candidates with awaiting results may apply but must ensure that their O’Level (WAEC/NECO) results are uploaded appropriately at the JAMB Portal (CAPS) in a COMPUTER-BASED TEST (CBT) CENTRE approved by JAMB. Kindly note that FUTIA does not have individual/sales agents for admission. Anyone who deals with any individual and/or makes payment(s) to an individual’s account does so at his/her own risk.
