FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, AKURE [FUTA] ASUU JOINS NATIONWIDE INDUSTRIAL ACTION

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, FUTA Chapter have officially Joined the Nationwide Industrial Action.

This was made known to pressmen and Campus Journalists after the Union’s Congress on Wednesday 16th February 2022.

The union had expressed grievances over the failure of the Federal Government to fulfill some of the agreements it made as far back as 2009.

The lecturers threatened to embark on another round of industrial action following the alleged “government’s unfaithfulness” in the implementation of the Memorandum of Action it signed with the union, leading to the suspension of the 2020 strike action.

In lieu of this , All Academic activities are hereby suspended until further notice with immediate action
