PROGRAMMES O’LEVEL DIRECT ENTRY UTME SUBJECTS
B.Sc. Biochemistry Five Credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics at not more than two sittings (i) Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Chemistry, Physics/Mathematics and Biology/Botany/Zoology in addition to UTME requirements.
(ii)NCE/ND/HND with Credit passes in related field plus UTME requirement.

Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
BMLS Medical Laboratory Science Five Credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics at not more than two sittings (i) ‘A’ level passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Zoology in addition to UTME requirements.
(ii) A University degree in a relevant field.
(iii) OND/HND in related courses with Credit pass plus O’ level entry requirement.

BNSc Nursing Five Credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two sittings. (i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Biology/Zoology, Chemistry and Physics in addition to UTME requirements.
(ii) A University degree in a relevant field. (iii) NRN or its approved equivalent plus five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language and one Science subjects chosen from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Human Anatomy, Physiology and Hygiene, Health Science, Further Mathematics and General Science.

(i)Two ‘A’ level passes to include Literature-in-English and one other Arts subject in addition to UTME requirements.
(ii) NCE with passes at Merit level in relevant subjects.

(iv) A good pass in JUPEB/IJMB Subjects: Literature in English and any two of Religious studies, History, Government, Music, Fine Arts and French

Entrepreneurship Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one (1) Science subject and one (1) other Social Science or Commercial subject at not more than two sittings. (i) Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Economics and one (1) of, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Mathematics

(ii) ND/HND with Credit passes in relevant field (iii) NCE with a minimum of Merit in any related Art/Social/Management Science

(ii) NCE with at least Merit in Mathematics and one other Science or Social Science subject.
(iii) OND/HND with Credit passes from a recognized institution in addition to O’ level requirements

(ii) OND/HND with Credit passes from a recognized institution in addition to O’ level requirements.
(iii) A good pass in JUPEB subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics
(iv) IJMB passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics
Biology and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
B.Sc. Physics with Electronics Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other Science subject from Further Mathematics and Biology or Agricultural Science. (i) Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics or Chemistry.
(ii) ND/HND with Credit passes in relevant programmes from a recognized institution in addition to O’ level requirements.
(iii) IJMB/JUPEB in relevant subjects.
Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biology.
B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agricultural Science at not more than two sittings (i) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) of Physics and Mathematics, plus the UTME Requirements.
(ii) ND/HND with Credit passes in relevant programmes from a recognized institution in addition to O’ level requirements.
(iii) IJMB/JUPEB in relevant subjects.
Chemistry, Mathematics and any of Physics/Biology/Agricultural Science.

Method of Application and General Admission Requirements.

(I) UTME

Admission is open to candidates who sat for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
(a) Applicants are to complete the on-line Application Form by visiting Edo University Iyamho website at: www.edouniversity.edu.ng

(b) All applicants are required to have met Departmental minimum entry requirement of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics at GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB or their equivalents at not more than two sittings. However, for Medicine and Surgery (MB;BS), the five credits (including Mathematics and English) must be obtained at one sitting only.

(c) Candidates awaiting results in (b) in above may also apply.
(d) All applicants will be required to go through Edo University Iyamho Screening Exercise.
(e) Candidates who wrote 2020 UTME but did not chose Edo University Iyamho as First Choice can apply by changing their choice of University/Course of Study to Edo University Iyamho as follows:

  • Apply for Change of Institution through JAMB
  • Complete the Edo University Iyamho On-line Application Form
  • Participate in the Edo University Iyamho screening exercise.

(II) DIRECT ENTRY

All Direct Entry candidates are required to buy and process the 2020 JAMB Direct Entry Form

Edo University Iyamho accepts the following for Direct Entry Admission into 200 Level:
(a) A minimum of Merit pass in NCE, Credit in OND/HND or a University degree in relevant discipline.
(b) Candidates with two Advanced Level passes or its equivalent in relevant subjects.
(c) The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) or Cambridge moderated School of Basic Studies at acceptable grade levels.
(d) In addition to a University degree/NCE/ND/HND/IJMB/JUPEB or two Advanced Level papers specified by each Faculty or Programme, candidates must also satisfy the O’ level requirements.
(e) Any other qualification as approved by the University Senate.

(III) TRANSFER CANDIDATES

Candidates will be allowed to transfer from other Universities to Edo University Iyamho, provided they meet the following conditions:
(a). Purchase and complete the prescribed Edo University Inter-University Transfer application Form online.
(b). Pass interview/Screening conducted by Edo University Iyamho.
(c). Hold the minimum entry requirements for admission into Edo University Iyamho.
(d). Ensure that the transcript of their academic records are received in the Admissions Office of Edo University Iyamho.
(e). Have a C.G.P.A. of not less than 1.5

Candidates are expected to pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira ( N2,000) screening fee.

SCREENING OF CANDIDATES:

Applicants are to appear for Edo University Iyamho 2nd Supplementary Admission Exercise on Thursday 14th January 2021

(i). Edo University On-line application print out
(ii). 2020 UTME result slip
(iii). O’ Level result
