Caleb University Imota has expressed satisfaction at the solutions developed by LASU in recent times.
This was expressed when the Vice Chancellor of Caleb University, Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie met the ICT/Computer Science team led by Dr Akeeb Oyefolu on Wednesday, at a follow up meeting to Caleb University’s request for the development of some software solutions.
At the briefing, Dr Toyin Enikuomehin, the Acting Head of Computer Science, made a presentation showcasing how far LASU has gone in ICT and associated services.
Members of Caleb University Management commended the LASU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun, SAN for creating an enabling environment for these developments.
The day coincidentally marked the maiden edition of the ‘One Day Acting Vice Chancellorship initiative’ of the Prof Nosa Owens-Ibie led administration. The initiative permits the Vice Chancellor to appoint one of the graduates of the University under the special Caleb Graduate Development Scheme, to be a “one day acting VC” each month, as a way of encouraging and motivating students to live the core values of the University and work hard in their various field of study. The first One Day acting Vice Chancellor, Mrs Chiamaka Joyce Ehizenagah, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, had a full day of activities and was impressive in discharging her roles in meetings with Management and All Staff, and working visits to departments.
The Management expressed their appreciation at the LASU team”s visit and took decisions to move the collaboration forward. The LASU team acknowledged that Caleb University is in tune with latest technological advancement required for university education.
