BENUE STATE UNIVERSITY, [BSU] EXTENDS SALES OF POST UTME ADMISSION FORM FOR THE 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION 

Sequel to popular demand from candidates and the general public, the Vice-Chancellor has approved extension of the deadline for the PUTME/DE registration to Monday, 8th January, 2024.

1. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCREENING

BSU notice on extension of Post UTME/DE deadline, 2023/2024

i. Candidates must have made the Benue state University their first choice or changed from other institutions to make the Benue State University their first choice;

II. Candidates must have five (5) O’ Level credits (including Mathematics and English Language) at NOT MORE THAN TWO (2) SITTINGS and scored a minimum of 150 and above (220 and above for Medicine and Surgery, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) and Law), 200 and above for Nursing, Radiography and Radiation Science, and Medical Laboratory Science) in the 2023 UTME;

iii. Candidates who applied for Law but scored between 150 and 219 shall be considered for admission into other programmes in the Faculties of Arts, Social Sciences and Education. Similarly, candidates who applied for Medicine and Surgery and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) but scored between 150 and 219 shall be considered for any of Anatomy, Physiology and other Science programmes;

iv. Those who applied for Nursing Science, Radiography and Radiation Science, and Medical Laboratory Science but scored between 150 and 199 shall be considered for other Science programmes;

v.Candidates for DE and UTME admission shall mandatorily upload both their O’ levels and higher qualifications on JAMB portal and register for the screening exercise of the University; and

vi. Candidates who wish to be admitted into Doctor of Pharmacy (new programme) are advised to effect programme change on JAMB portal.

2. PROCEDURE FOR THE 2023/2024 PRE-ADMISSIONS REGISTRATION/SCREENING

i. Visit https://bsum.edu.ng and click on “Admissions” menu;

ii. Under “APPLICATIONS”, click on “Post UTME/DE”;

Ⅲ. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Click on “Verify”:

iv. Once your status is verified, click on “PROCEED” to access the E-Payment Platform where payment can be done via Cash at any Bank of your choice or online using Quick Teller;

V. All candidates are required to pay the sum of two thousand Naira (N2,000) only for the screening:

vi.After payment, go to the BSU website and click on “ADMISSIONS” and on “Upload documents for PUTME” where you can enter your Registration Number and proceed to complete the Biodata and all the required sections;

vii. Upload Documents such as WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificates or statement of results(not online slips) as appropriate; and

Candidates are to take maximum advantage of the extension to register for the screening, please
