Some secondary school students in Bauchi state are currently staging a protest over a new policy introduced by the state government directing male students to be separated from their female counterparts in all the schools across the state.
The Bauchi State Commissioner for Education, Mr. Aliyu Tilde, who had earlier revealed that the State government has concluded plans to separate male and female students in secondary schools said the plan would be executed when and where ever possible.
He added that the decision is aimed at addressing the moral decay which has become prevalent among students of secondary schools, and according to him, private schools are expected to key into the initiative and separate the males who would be attending their academic activities in one institution and the females in a separate institution.
Students in the state officially resumed academic activities today September 26, 2022.
