AAUA Part-Time Admission Form for 2020/2021 Academic Session | Diploma, Undergraduate & Postgraduate Now on Sale

The Institute of Part-Time Programmes (IPTP) of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its DIploma, Undergraduate and postgradute programmes for the 2020/2021 academic session.

STUDY CENTRES:

There are two study centres: Akure and Akungba-Akoko.

The Akure Study Centre is St.Thomas Aquinas College, Akure, Ondo State.
The Akungba Study Centre is the Campus of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State.

Candidates must possess Five O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two Social Science subjects. A first degree of not lower than Second Class (Lower Division) earned any institution recognized by the Senate of AAUA. Holders of HND and/or some professional qualifications in administration disciplines. Candidates, who possess Postgraduate Diploma or similar professional qualification in any discipline from any institution recognized by the Senate of AAUA or Professional Certificate in Accounting (ICAN II), may also be considered for

admission.

Pure and Applied Psychology

Master’s in Managerial Psychology (MMP)

In addition to five O’ Level Credit passes which must include English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings, candidates must have a first degree with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) in any discipline from any institution recognized by the Senate of AAUA. Candidates, who possess Postgraduate Diploma or similar professional qualification in any discipline from any institution recognized by the Senate of

AAUA, may also be considered for admission.

Master’s in Security Psychology (MSP)

In addition to five O’ Level Credit passes which must include English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings, candidates must have a first degree with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) in any discipline from any institution recognized by the Senate of AAUA. Candidates, who possess Postgraduate Diploma or similar professional qualification in any discipline from any institution recognized by the Senate of

AAUA, may also be considered for admission.

Candidates, who possess Postgraduate Diploma in any discipline from any institution recognized by the Senate of AAUA, may also be considered for

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes in WASC/SSCE/NECO at not more than two sittings, including English Language, Literature in English, Mathematics and any TWO of the following: Christian Religious Knowledge/Islamic Religious Knowledge,

History, Government, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, French, Fine Arts and Music, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to the O’ Level requirements of Credit passes, candidates must possess a Diploma (ND – Upper Credit) in Mass Communication or any other Communication/Language-related course from a recognized institution. The Department may also admit candidates with NCE (Merit) in English (combined with any other teaching subject.

History and International Studies

B.A. History and International Studies

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, History or Government and any other two subjects from either Arts or Social Sciences, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to O’ Level requirements, candidate must possess TWO A’ Level passes, or its equivalents, one of which must be in History or Government. Candidates, who have at least a Merit pass in ND/NCE/Diploma in International and Strategic Studies of this University or any other University recognized by the University Senate in related disciplines, may also be considered for admission.

Linguistics and Languages

B.A. Linguistics & Yoruba (Combined Honours)

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Yoruba and any other two subjects, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to O’ Level requirements, candidates must possess TWO A’ Level passes or its equivalent, including Yoruba. Candidates with NCE (minimum of Merit) or Diploma in Yoruba, Mass Communication, Arts, Law, Journalism (minimum of Lower Credit) may be considered for Direct Entry.

B.A. Philosophy

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and three Arts, Social Science or Science subjects, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to O’ Level requirements, candidates must possess TWO A’ Level passes, or its equivalent. Candidates must hold an acceptable Diploma in Law, Religious Studies, etc. from any institution approved by the University Senate. Candidates with NCE at Merit level may also be considered for Direct Entry admission.

In addition to O’ Level requirements, candidates must possess TWO A’ Level passes which must include Mathematics. Candidates must have at least Lower Credit Pass in National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science, Statistics or Electronics/Electrical Engineering. NCE holders with at least Merit Pass in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics may also be considered for admission.

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Commerce and any two of the following subjects: Principles of Account/Book Keeping, Government/Civic Education, and Geography, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to the five O’ Level requirements, candidates must possess TWO A’ Level passes in Accounting and at least any one of Economics, Mathematics and Business Management. Candidates who possess Pass in the whole of the Foundation Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN/ANAN) or of any other recognized accountancy body or Pass in all the stages of the Accounting Technicians Schemes are also eligible to be considered for Direct Entry admission. Holders of National Diploma (ND) certificate with at least a Lower Credit or its equivalent in Accountancy and other Accounting-related courses like: Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, Purchasing and Supply from any higher

Institution recognized by the Senate of AAUA, are also eligible.

B.Sc. Banking and Finance

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to O’ Level requirements, candidates must possess TWO A’ Level passes which must include Economics or holders of National Diploma, ND (Lower Credit) or HND (Lower Credit) in Banking and Finance, or relevant disciplines (Business Administration,

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to O’ Level requirements, candidates must possess TWO A’ Level passes or its equivalent in Business Management and any one of Accounting, Economics and Government. Candidates with at least Lower Credit in National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration from a tertiary institution recognized by the Senate of AAUA, may be considered for admission.

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, plus one Social Science subject and any other subject, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to O’ Level requirements, candidates must possess National Diploma (Lower Credit) in relevant discipline(s) from AAUA or other institutions recognized by the Senate of AAUA.

Geography and Planning Sciences

B.Sc. Geography and Planning Sciences

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any other two subjects from the Social Sciences or Science, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to O’ Level requirements, candidates must possess TWO A’ Level passes in Geography and one other Social Science or Science subject. Candidates with ND in related courses like Town Planning, Surveying, Environmental Management, Estate Management may be considered provided they have graduated with (Lower Credit) and NCE at (Lower Level) in Geography/Geography combined with another subject.

Pure and Applied Psychology

B.Sc. Psychology

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and any other two Social Science, Arts or Science subjects, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to O’ Level requirements, candidates with Diploma in Psychology from any institution recognized by the Senate of this University. Registered Nurse (RN) may also be considered for Direct Entry admission. However, such candidates (RN) would be required to take and pass designated courses at the 100 level.

Political Science and Public Administration

B.Sc. Public Administration

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Government/Civic Education or History and one Social Sciences or Arts subjects, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to O’ Level requirements, candidates must possess either (i) a pass at the Advanced Level in Public Administration or three Social Science subjects including Government or History,

(ii) Diploma in Public Administration, Business Administration, Criminology and Social Work, Law and other related fields

from any institution recognized by the University Senate of AAUA.

Sociology

B.Sc. Sociology

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects, at not more than two sittings.

In addition to the O’ Level requirements, candidates with Diploma Certificate or National or Higher Diploma at (Lower Credit) grade from any institution recognized by the Senate of AAUA. The Diploma must be in related courses such as Sociology, Social Work, Social Policy, Social Administration,

Criminology, and Public Administration,or other related fields.

Criminology and Security Studies

Minimum of five O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects at not more than two sittings.

In addition to the O’ Level requirements, candidates with Diploma Certificate or National or Higher Diploma at (Lower Credit) grade from any institution recognized by the Senate of AAUA. The Diploma must be in related courses such as Sociology, Social Work, Social Policy, Social Administration, Criminology, and Public Administration,

or other related fields.

3. Make payment. Procedure to make payment is as follows:
Login to your account.
Goto Payment Method
Click on generate invoice(RRR Number).
Take the invoice generated to the bank and make payment with the RRR Number on REMITA PLATFORM ONLY
4. After payment @ the bank and obtained a payment receipt from the teller, Login to your account to confirm the payment, after then you be allowed to fill the application form
5. After successful login and payment, please fill the form accordingly, upload your recent passport photograph and click on the buttons appropriately
6. Ensure to print your acknowledgment and await sms for your admission information on phone soon.

Postgraduate (Master and Postgraduate Diploma) = N15,315 (including bank charges).
Undergraduate = N12,815 (including bank charges).
Diploma = N10, 315 (including bank charges).
