CIRCULAR TO ALL MEMBERS OF STAFF AND STUDENTS PLANNED NATIONWIDE PROTESTS

 

This is to inform all members of staff and students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-

 

Akoko that the attention of the University Management has been drawn to the planned nationwide protests by unknown groups on Thursday, 1 August, 2024.

 

While the University Management recognizes the right to peaceful protest, we prioritize the safety and security of lives and property of our staff and students, should there be any such protest action. To ensure the safety and well being of staff and students, we therefore, advise all students to remain on campus and continue with their academic activities as usual during the planned protest period. This will help to avoid any potential risks associated with the planned protest.

 

The University Management wishes to reassure all staff, students and other members of the University Community of its unwavering commitment to the security and safety of lives and property.

 

By copies of this Circular, all Deans and Heads of Department are requested to advise their students on the need to remain in the University to focus on their academic work.

 

The leadership of the Student Union is also requested to pass this information to all students.
