Dr Sa’ad Hadi, the Deputy Provost Administration has been appointed the Acting Provost of Kwara State College of Arabic And Islamic Legal Studies (KWCAILS), Ilorin.
The College Registrar, Mallam Afolabi Suleiman (MNIM), announced Dr. Sa’ad Hadi’s appointment after the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing Provost, Dr Olokoba Abdullahi Ayinla on Thursday 28th September, 2023 during the College Academic Board Meeting.
He said further that the appointment of Dr. Sa’ad Hadi was in line with the approval of the Kwara State Government through the College parent Ministry, the State Ministry of Tertiary Education (MOTE).
He stated further that the Acting Provost would manage the affairs of the College until the Kwara State Government constitutes the Governing Council for the College and a Substantive Provost is appointed.
“The Acting Provost, Dr. Sa’ad Hadi has been a one time Head of Department of History, two times Dean of School of Art and Islamic Studies, one time Deputy Provost Academic and the Deputy Provost Administration of the College respectively over the years.
“Until his appointment, he had his first and second degree in History from University of Ilorin, 1991 and 2000 respectively. He proceeded to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he bagged his Ph.D in History after joining the services of the College as Assistant Lecturer in 1995.
“He rose through the ranks to the enviable position of Chief Lecturer in the Department of History in 2015.
“As a scholar, he has attended numerous local and international conferences. He has to his credit several journal articles, chapters in books and book publications. Similarly, he has been conferred with various awards and distinctions.
“Dr Hadi is hardworking, an admirer of the young generation, a progressive, a team player, staff welfare oriented and sociable personality. He is a devote Muslim, happily married and blessed with children.
