Godfrey Okoye University [GOUNI] Pegs 160 as 2022/2023 Admission Cut-Off Mark

The Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu State, has set the minimum admission score for 2022/2023 for all programmes except Law at 160.

Following a meeting with the heads of tertiary institutions in the country, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set the cut-off mark for admissions in the 2022/2023 academic session at 140 for universities, 100 for polytechnics, and 100 for colleges of education.

The university, on the other hand, stated that it intends to lure potential students with the concept of a “GO-UNI European Business Park.”

According to Ms Jane Ndukwe, the Admission Officer, who stated this to journalists on Friday in Abuja, the Park is a public-private cooperation between the institution, the Austrian and German governments, and private European investors.

She stated that the concept was created to assist students and Nigerian youngsters with a sustainable livelihood through education and work possibilities.

She went on to say that the plan, which has attracted over 20 European corporations, would establish a friendly economic community in Nigeria with appropriate recreational facilities, immaculate security, access to water, electricity, and great sanitation.

“This will encourage more young people to stay in Nigeria and help develop the country rather than flee to other countries in search of better pastures.”

“Admission to the university is underway.” For all subjects except law, our cut-off mark is 160.”

Ndukwe, who is also the school’s Director of Student Mentorship and Parent Relations, stated that the youths would find greener pastures at the school’s GO-UNI European Business Park.

She stated that the school was enthusiastic about business, and that this would assist students avoid becoming stranded after graduating from university.

“None of our students should be confined to their homes because they are unable to find work.” No, they have been instructed to start their own businesses and become labour employers.”
