MOSHOOD ABIOLA POLYTECHNIC, [MAPOLY] SUSPENDS ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES, SHIFTS TUTION FEE PAYMENT
In view of the Federal Government’s directive for closure of Schools ahead of the General Elections, the Academic Board of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has announced the closure of the Institution and directed all Students to go home from Wednesday, 22nd February, 2023.
The decision was ratified at the emergency Academic Board meeting held on Monday, 20th February, 2023.
The Board magnanimously approved the extension of deadline for payment of tuition fee earlier fixed for Monday, 20th February 2023 to 28th February, 2023 for all categories of students excluding those who went on Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
By this development, a penalty fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000) only would be added effective from Wednesday, 1st March, 2023.
The Academic Board, while warning that no further extension would be granted, fixed 9th March, 2023 as deadline for all students returning from SIWES.
Meanwhile, the e-learning platform https://lms.mapolyng.com/ will be available, only to those who have completed their registrations for the semester to complement in-person lectures.
Premised on the above, the 2022/2023 Matriculation and Oath Taking Ceremony scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 21st February, 2023 has been suspended indefinitely.
Again, Students are advised to return to their respective homes from Wednesday, 22nd February and resume on Tuesday, 14th March, 2023 in compliance to the Government’s directive to exercise their franchise devoid of violence.
