2023 ELECTION: FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, MINNA [FUTMINNA] SUSPENDS ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

RE: MINISTERIAL DIRECTIVE ON THE CLOSURE OF ALL UNTVERSITIES AND INTER

UNIVERSITY CENTRES DURING THE UP cOMING 2023 NIGERIA’S GENERAL ELECTIONS

The above subject matter refers, please. Following the directive above from the Nationa! Universities Commission (NUC), Senate of the University at its 474 Regular Meeting held on Monday, 20 February, 2023 has further directed

that the University should be shut down with effect from Wednesday, 22 February to Tuesday, 14 March. 2023.

This is to allow Staff and Students to participate in the fortheoming general elections scheduled for Saturday, 25 February, and 11 March, 2023 for the Presidential/National

Assembly and Gubermatorial/State Assembly respectively.

Staff’and Students are therefore, expected to be away from classes and all other Academic activities during the period. They are to resume on Wednesday, 15 March, 2023.

Members of Staff on Essential Services are however, required to be at their duty posts, as adequately arranged by their Head of Departments.
